HUL

Krispy is a video entertainment app targeted to Tier 2 cities. It allows users to watch videos and in turn earn cash back. Techved was tasked with creating an app that would reflect the ideology of HUL of making entertainment available to everyone.

We conducted intensive user research in smaller towns of the Hindi speaking belt to

  • Understand the app user behaviour
  • Motivation points of its target audience

This led to creating a User centred design of the app which delivered premium experience. The visually stunning app made it easier to download, watch the video and redeem the money earned by watching a video.

METHODOLOGY

01. Understanding business goals

The idea behind Krispy was to make entertainment available to smaller towns. After clear understanding of this objective, we built a strategy and utilised it in creating prototype.

02. High fidelity Wireframes

High fidelity wireframes were created with intricate details and functionality portraying HUL’s vision clearly. It also let them see how the end product will look like.

03. User Research

The functional prototypes were then taken to users for research. They were asked to perform tasks based on which feedback was collected.

04. Visual design

Users’ feedbacks were scrutinised and incorporated while creating visual designs.

This helped in enhancing the overall appeal of the design.

05. User Interaction with product design

After visual designing, it was again taken to the users to get a final validation and ensure that there are no pitfalls before it goes into development stage

Result

The newly designed Krispy app boasted of personalized content and a seamless User Experience.
